We spent around 3 very enjoyable hours in the photography studio. Veru made us feel very relaxed despite it being our first shoot so we didn’t really know what to expect. Drinks and snacks were there and we were instructed just to sit down and relax. When is the best time for my maternity session?

The best time for a maternity session is between the 28th and 34th week of your pregnancy. During this time your pregnancy is clearly visible but the most important part is that you feel comfortable. In case you prefer any other dates, I am of course happy to work with you.

What should I wear for my maternity session?

It’s simple: Don’t match. Coordinate. The result should be the outfit everyone feels comfortable in and if you decide that you want to go for an elegant look, make sure all the members of your family are equally dressed. And remember, being barefoot whenever possible adds a nice „natural“ touch.Underwear is also an important factor for maternity photos. Skin colored thongs and bras work best and if you feel comfortable enough, you can also wear nipple covers (I also keep a stash handy for my clients, if you like).

If you book your maternity and newborn sessions together, you’ll get a 50€ discount on your classic or deluxe newborn shooting! (does not apply for newborn mini-wrapped session)

How do I prepare for my photo session?

Get yourself pampered (maybe the perfect excuse you’ve been waiting for?). Fix your hair nicely, maybe some light curls (very appealing for a mommy-to-be). Do your makeup. If you don’t know how to do your makeup, I am more than happy to help. Remember: Getting all dolled up helps with self confidence and to feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Can my partner / 1st child also join the photo session?

Yes! I want to capture your FAMILY happiness.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes. An appointment reservation fee of 50€ is due in advance and will be deducted from the package price later.

Where does the photo session take place?

This is entirely up to you and the selected package. You can visit my studio or we can meet in your favourite park or place in and around Vienna.

My studio is located at Schlöglgasse 11/9, 1120 Vienna – easily accessible by public transport. The S-Bahn and Tram 62 stop conveniently close to my studio.

When does the photo session take place?

The photo sessions are bookable from Monday to Saturday at different times (depending on weather and lighting conditions for outdoor sessions).

Where do I park when I come to your studio by car?

There is ample street parking available but please note that you will require a parking ticket (except for the weekend).

When and how do I get the photos?

Within a week after the shooting, your pictures are first uploaded to a private, password protected online gallery, where you can select the photos. I will then edit and deliver selected photos within 4-8 weeks (digitals) after the photo selection & payment (for any extra photos on top of the package) are made. If the package includes printed photos, you will receive also those by the regular mail (this may take a bit longer, as printed photos are orders in batches for more photo sessions together).

Will I get unedited photos?

The short answer is no. The long answer is that I take pride in my work and that you wouldn’t expect an uncooked meal in a restaurant, or an unstudied piece of music at a concert. I consider myself an artist and only hand over what I consider finished. Your masterpiece sort of speaks.

Privacy vs. Consent to publish my photos

Your pictures are my business cards, and I do hope they speak for themselves. I am always grateful when I can use pictures of a photo shoot for my purposes. I want to show other customers what I can do for them and the only way to do that is through your pictures. Please help me spread the word of my work, it would help me tremendously. Furthermore, when you allow me to publish your photos on my website and social media platforms, you get extra 2 photos for free as a bonus and a thank you.

Should you not feel comfortable giving me the consent to publish your photos (on my website and social media platforms), I am more than happy to respect your privacy and only share the images with you.
